Community Guidelines
Premise’s mission is to be the source of ground truth worldwide. When you sign up to join Premise, you become part of a vibrant global community.
Premise’s values of integrity and respect serve as the basis of our Community Guidelines. Our Community Guidelines provide general guidance to Contributors on utilizing our platform appropriately.
Guidelines for using Premise:
As a Premise Contributor, you have the opportunity to bring a positive change in your community and to earn money while doing so. The following guides you on how to use Premise.
Completing tasks with integrity
Your submissions help partner organizations, companies, and NGOs better understand and improve local communities. Premise Contributors should:
- answer questions truthfully and to the best of their ability;
- never intentionally submit false or misleading information;
- always behave respectfully when completing tasks and interacting with local people, businesses, or institutions;
- only access the Premise app and complete tasks from your mobile phone;
- complete tasks independently, without assistance or collaboration from other Contributors.
Staying safe while using Premise

At Premise, we take safety seriously. As a Premise Contributor, you should always:
- follow local guidelines and be mindful of your surroundings;
- only complete tasks in areas where you feel safe;
- exit the task and leave the area immediately if you are asked to leave while completing a task or if you feel unsafe.
Prohibited behavior:
Indecent, inauthentic, and fraudulent behavior is prohibited on our platform.
Account sharing or operating multiple accounts
We take account sharing seriously. As such, do not:
- share a single account with any person other than the registered account holder;
- create and/or use multiple accounts on any device (i.e. only one account and one device is permitted per person);
- share a payment account with other Premise Contributors without authorization.
Location spoofing

Providing an accurate representation of your reported location is the cornerstone of our data collection efforts. Therefore, Contributors should not:
- purposely mock or spoof their location or misrepresent their location of origin;
- start and complete tasks in different locations.
Sending inappropriate or malicious information
Eradicating inappropriate or malicious information is a responsibility that we take seriously. As a Premise Contributor, you agree to not:
- upload or otherwise disseminate information that (in our sole discretion) is obscene, indecent, vulgar, pornographic, sexual, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;
- send spam links, and/or personal referral links in an aggressive, or otherwise inappropriate fashion;
- upload or attempt to transmit files that contain viruses, Trojan horses, corrupted files, or data.
Task review and rejections
When completing tasks within the Premise app, Contributors’ submissions undergo review for quality control. In case of a task rejection, Contributors will receive feedback detailing the reasons for rejection, facilitating learning and improvement. If the task has been rejected and a Contributor would like to send it for another round of review, they should note that:
- the task review time takes between 3-5 days;
- rejected tasks can only be reviewed once;
- tasks that are rejected for 14 or more days are not re-reviewed (Contributors should always appeal rejected tasks right away);
- the decision from the Quality Control team about their rejected task is final and indisputable.
Exhibiting indecent behavior
Protecting the respect and integrity of our Contributors and support staff is an important aspect of our operations. In line with this, Contributors agree to not:
- defame, libel, ridicule, mock, stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate or abuse anyone, hatefully, racially, ethnically, or otherwise act in an offensive or objectionable manner;
- improperly use support channels to make false or frivolous reports to Premise or to communicate with our customer support representatives in a disrespectful, belligerent or inappropriate manner;
- exploit, distribute, or publicly inform other members of any error, miscue, or bug (“Error”) that gives an unintended advantage.
Exhibiting inauthentic behavior
In line with our commitment to authenticity, we do not allow Contributors to misrepresent themselves through the use of software programs or applications. As a Premise Contributor, you agree to not:
- access (or attempt to access) the Premise application by any means other than through a mobile device;
- develop, distribute, make use of, or publicly inform other members of “auto” or “macro” software programs;
- abuse any of our Services in a manner that does not reflect normal or appropriate human usage.
Premise is committed to maintaining the integrity of our platform and thus reserves the right to take action against Contributors whose behavior violates Premise’s Community Guidelines. Any violation of the Premise’s Community Guidelines is a cause for suspension.
Thank you for being part of Premise’s global network and working with our partners to provide a valuable source of ground truth. Your contributions and participation in this global community are a crucial and invaluable part of Premise’s mission.
